Children's Services

Under the Child Care and Early Years Act, 2014, the Cochrane District Services Board’s (CDSB) Children’s Services Department manages the funding of a variety of programs, including:

• EarlyON
• Fee Subsidy
• Special Needs Resourcing
• Wage Enhancement for Childcare Workers
• General Operating Grants for qualifying Childcare Centres
• Repair and Maintenance Support for Qualifying Childcare Centres
• Childcare Planning 
• System Transformation and Capacity Building

The CDSB has service agreements with 16 agencies that provide services within the Cochrane District including:

• Licensed Childcare Centres
• Private Home Child Care
• Special Needs Resourcing 
• Before and After School Recreation Programs
• Cochrane District EarlyON Child & Family Centres

The CDSB directly operates:

• Spruce Hill Lodge EarlyON Child & Family Centre
• Northern Treasures Licensed Home Child Care Program
