Are you a renter or first-time home buyer in the Cochrane District? You could qualify for down payment assistance to help you purchase your own home!
Program Criteria:
- Maximum Household Income: $113,900
- Maximum Purchase Price: $284,320
- Down Payment Assistance: The Homeownership Program provides up to 10% of the purchase price, forgivable after 20 years.
- Eligible Homes: New or resale homes (detached, semi-detached, townhomes, condos, etc.) that are modest in size and amenities
- Home Inspection: Required for resale homes at purchasers cost
- Legal Fees: Not covered
- Education & Training: Approved applicants will receive guidance on the home buying process and financial responsibilities
- Eligibility: Must be at least 18 years old, a Canadian citizen or permanent resident and buying a sole/principal residence in the Cochrane District
Priority will be given to people living in social housing who want to buy a home.
