Housing Wait List

Tenant selection is based on someone’s position on the housing wait list. While the CDSB works to move people into housing as quickly as possible, there are several things that impact the housing wait list, including:

  • Availability of housing units in the community;
  • Type of housing being applied for;
  • Vacancy rates;
  • Rent-Geared-to-Income or Market Rent applications;
  • Priority Applications

The CDSB will make an offer of housing when a unit is vacant and available.
