The CDSB is exploring several options and sites based on feedback we received from the community during the Living Space Relocation Review. No acquisitions have been finalized. Residents, on all sides of the issues, told us a wellness centre with treatment and wrap-around services is needed in the Cochrane District. CDSB took this feedback seriously, and all possibilities are being considered. We are also engaging with community partners to determine what services are required and can be delivered. We are also continuously lobbying the relevant provincial ministries to support and fund any acquisition and service plan. Currently, the CDSB does not have a confirmed location for a Wellness Centre but when we do, we will ensure there are numerous opportunities for the public to provide input into how the site and services are developed and utilized.
