Employment Services

CDSB Employment Services is a service delivery agent for Employment Ontario Programs funded by the Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development (MLTSD) in Cochrane, Iroquois Falls and Matheson.  Our Employment Resource Workers completes assessments and referrals regarding career planning, job search and job retention to individuals working less than 20 hours per week or looking for better employment.  We also provide assistance to employers with their hiring needs and offer training incentives.

Client Assisted Services:

• Service Needs Determination (career assessment and exploration)
• Employment readiness workshops
• Assisted job search – job referrals and job search strategies
• Labour market information
• Ongoing collaboration and refers to appropriate community partners and outside agencies

Resource Centres:
Located in Iroquois Falls, Cochrane and Matheson.  Available as non-assisted services to all individuals of the community.  Our Resource Centre Clerks are available to provide one-on-one assistance with your job search.  Job seekers may utilize any of the following resources:

• Resume and Cover Letter Assistance
• Access to Labour Market Information
• Computer and Internet access
• Printer, Fax, Photocopier and Telephone to make employment contacts
• Online Certificate Training (Various Occupational Health and Safety Training Courses)
